“Artists and Lovers 1900 - 1930” A truly fascinating delve into what was called the “first real international colony of artists” A quarter-mile area on the Left Bank, Paris which incorporated the famous Montparnasse Café District. Between 1900 and 1930 the Left Bank became the acknowledged centre of Artistic Life in the whole World. For Artist’s, Writer’s, Poet’s, Pleasure seekers and the Bohemian set it was a place of freedom and personal fulfilment. Montparnasse Life was about having fun and ignoring convention in many cases.
