Antique Model Sailing Ship

$2,995.00

This large Antique full model of a 4 masted Barque has been constructed entirely from scratch beginning with the hand shaping of the Hull from a solid piece of timber through to the handmade fittings, masts and sails. The Ship is not named but the colours could suggest it was a vessel associated with the “Loch Shipping Line” False gun portals were historically painted on the sides of Ships hulls to give the impression that they were armed to deter raiders.

Felt has been hung at the back of the case solely for the purpose of photographing this item, all four sides are old glass.

Large Antique Ships Models such as this example seldom become available. Believed to have been made sometime in the later 19th century / early 20th century, this Model was painstakingly restored approximately 20 years ago.

Condition - Very good

Dimensions - Height 800mm x Length 980mm x Depth 480mm

Stock number - C45

Pick up or Local Delivery on this item only. Any breakage of the glass sides of the case risks glass shards damaging the Model.
