‘Carved Histories” is the result of Author and esteemed scholar Roger Neich’s research into the history of the Ngati Tarawhai Woodcarvers of Rotorua. Ngati Tarawhai is one of the most influential schools of Maori Carvers in New Zealand and the Author pays tribute to that influence.
Extensively illustrated with both B/W and colour photos. The book also includes a list of all known Ngati Tarawhai carvings.
